Garden Retreat is my favorite Asian spa to visit whenever I'm in Manhattan. Over the years, the masseuses have always been attractive and the massage is consistently excellent from beginning to end. The staff is friendly and responsive.
There is a locker room that is carefully managed to maintain privacy and security. They have two shower tables and a standing shower. Everything is clean and fresh.
You can walk-in, but I find it a good idea to book an appointment especially during the busy hours or if I want to book my current favorite masseuse.

Garden Retreat is one of the best Asian Massage Parlors in Manhattan, no question. I've been a patron here for over 10 years now. Staff is always extremely friendly and accommodating. If you have any needs at all, just ask to speak to the manager, Sunny. She is a real pro and excellent masseuse herself. Table shower is very thorough and the whole facility is extremely clean and pristinely kept. Location is discreet and inviting at the same time. Rate of $80 for a one hour massage is a real bargain. And of course, please tip your masseuse at least $20 for good service!

Was visiting friends for the weekend and they recommended Garden Retreat. I've never been to a massage parlor in NYC before but went ahead and took the chance ;-). Can't believe I've never done this before. The masseuse was very nice and quite beautiful. She paid attention to every sore muscle in my body and I wasn't familiar with 'soft touch', but I can't believe I had never tried that before. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

This is one of the best massage spots I go to. Always a pleasant time, and it’s soothing. Staffs are nice and friendly and both my boyfriend and I enjoy it very much

In Manhattan for the day and tried Garden Retreat. Had a fantastic massage. The place is nice and very clean. The staff is friendly. I’ll definitely go back the next time I’m in the city
